Today we took a trip to Saltburn, and we ventured to The Sitting Room. It's a place we'd seen on facebook for a while, and each time they posted one of their delicious looking drinks we said 'Oh, we must go there!' but we never did...until today.
The place itself is wonderful. Situated in what we assume was one of the old railway waiting room, it has a very art-deco feel with it's formica tables and mismatched tea cups. It serves a range of loose-leaf teas throughout the day, plus gorgeous looking cakes and biscuits, before going on to exciting cocktails after dark.
The Sitting Room is a super cosy place for a cuppa and a catch up. Playing a mix of 80's tunes, they also regularly have live acts performing there. The atmosphere was relaxing and calm, and we're definitely going to be going back!
We both ordered hot chocolates; special hot chocolate, and a raspberry hot chocolate, plus fruit scones. It was so delicious. Just what we needed on a chilly Valentine's day to warm us through and set us up for our six mile walk down Saltburn/Marske beach.
